START WITH THE THINGS THAT MATTER MOST

Keep the important items with you.

Use these checkboxes as a starting point, not a requirement to buy everything. Pack for your actual travelers and the forecast. You can print this guide, then cross off anything that does not apply. Necessary medications and irreplaceable essentials belong in an accessible carry-on or personal bag, not only in checked luggage.

Choose one place for confirmations and make sure another adult knows where they are. Test your app login and charging cable at home; those small checks are easier now than in an airport or at a park entrance.

  • Photo identification and required travel documents; insurance or assistance details if applicable.
  • Hotel and transportation confirmations, ticket access and verified park reservations.
  • Necessary medications and the supplies needed to use or store them appropriately.
  • Phone, charging cable, wall adapter and a charged portable battery.
  • Payment cards, a backup payment method and important contact numbers.
CARRY COMFORT, NOT THE WHOLE SUITCASE

A lighter bag makes a long day easier.

Lay out the park bag separately from the suitcase. Choose items you will genuinely use while away from the room, and keep frequently needed supplies near the top. Share the load between adults when practical instead of making one person the family pack mule.

Weather can shift between a warm afternoon and a cooler evening. A light layer is often more useful than assuming every California day stays hot. Check the local forecast shortly before departure and again each morning.

  • Comfortable, already-worn shoes and spare socks if wet rides or rain are likely.
  • Sun protection, sunglasses and hats suited to each traveler.
  • Refillable non-glass water bottles and suitable ready-to-eat snacks.
  • Light layers and compact rain protection when the forecast calls for it.
  • Hand wipes, tissues and a small bag for wet or dirty items.
  • Phone battery and cable, plus any necessary day-use medications.
A FEW FAMILIAR THINGS GO A LONG WAY

Pack for the little resets.

A spare outfit, a familiar snack and a calming activity can be more helpful than another new toy. Keep children’s supplies where you can reach them without unpacking the entire stroller basket. Do not leave valuables in a parked stroller.

Use a distinctive, inexpensive stroller marker so it is easier to recognize if moved within a parking area. Plan for how you will fold and carry the stroller during transportation; storage space and rules depend on the vehicle or service.

  • Diapers or training supplies, wipes and a changing mat as needed.
  • A spare child’s outfit, suitable feeding supplies and a familiar comfort item.
  • A compact queue activity and familiar headphones or ear protection if useful.
  • A stroller that meets Disney’s current size rules; rain or sun supplies appropriate to its design.
  • Hotel swimwear and any sleep essentials—kept in the suitcase rather than the park bag.
ONE LAST LOOK

Leave room for the things you’ll bring home.

Current Disneyland rules limit strollers to 31 inches wide by 52 inches long; wagons and stroller wagons are not allowed. Park bags and coolers cannot exceed 24 by 15 by 18 inches. Loose ice and dry ice are prohibited in them; use reusable ice packs.

Glass is generally prohibited, with small-container exceptions such as baby-food jars. Leave folding chairs, selfie sticks and handheld extension poles out of the park bag. Review the full official rules for exceptions and other restricted items before traveling.

Keep some luggage space for souvenirs or an extra layer bought on the trip. The night before a park day, recharge devices, refill supplies and confirm reservations and hours. You should be able to leave in the morning without searching through every suitcase.

  • Check the forecast and the next day’s operating hours.
  • Confirm bag and stroller dimensions and remove prohibited items.
  • Recharge phones and power banks; set out shoes and clothes.
  • Check tickets and reservations in the live account.
  • Keep valuables, medications and next-morning essentials easy to reach.
