KEEP THESE CLOSE

Start with what you can’t comfortably do without.

Keep essentials with you during the journey rather than in checked luggage. This list is a starting point, not a requirement to buy more equipment. Check your airline’s rules separately, especially for batteries, liquids and medical supplies.

Make sure the other adult knows where key items are. If you arrive before the room is ready, have a small bag with what you need for that afternoon so you are not searching through suitcases in the lobby.

  • Required identification and travel documents for your journey.
  • Reservation details, transfer information and a backup way to contact your hotel.
  • Regular medications and essential medical supplies, kept accessible.
  • Phone, charging cable and compatible battery bank packed according to your carrier’s rules.
  • A change of clothes, child comfort item and practical travel snacks.
  • Payment cards and a secure place for valuables.
COMFORT GOES A LONG WAY

Pack for walking, weather and a few slower moments.

Choose clothes and shoes you already know are comfortable. Check the forecast close to departure; Florida can bring heat, heavy rain or cool evenings depending on the season. A little laundry planning may be easier than packing a completely new outfit for every possible situation.

  • Broken-in walking shoes plus a backup pair.
  • Comfortable outfits, underwear and extra socks.
  • Light layers for evenings and air-conditioned spaces.
  • Rain jacket or poncho; a compact wet-item bag.
  • Swimwear, cover-ups and swim diapers if needed.
  • Sleepwear, toiletries, sunscreen and usual personal-care items.
  • Hat and sunglasses.
  • Laundry bag and any supplies you plan to use.
  • An outfit suited to any restaurant or special experience with a stated dress requirement.
LIGHT ENOUGH TO CARRY

Bring what helps, leave what weighs you down.

You will carry, screen, open and repack this bag throughout the day. Start with essentials and add only what your family uses. Put small items in a pouch and keep anything you cannot lose out of unattended stroller storage.

Plan how to keep electronics dry, and check the charge before leaving the room. If your family needs a larger collection of supplies, divide it thoughtfully between adults without separating an essential item from the person who needs it.

  • Admission access method and any required identification.
  • Phone, charged battery bank and cable.
  • Refillable water bottle and permitted snacks.
  • Sunscreen, hat, sunglasses and rain protection.
  • Needed medications and personal medical supplies.
  • Small wipes or tissues and hand-cleaning supplies.
  • Child-sized change of clothes, diapering supplies and a wet bag as needed.
  • A small comfort or sensory item your child already uses.
  • A simple family meeting plan and emergency contact information.
CHECK BEFORE YOU PACK

A few rules can save a frustrating arrival.

Disney currently limits strollers to 31 inches wide by 52 inches long and does not permit stroller wagons. Measure the actual stroller and check the current rules before renting or bringing one. Make it recognizable with a simple identifier, and expect Cast Members to move parked strollers when needed.

Theme and water parks do not permit bags or coolers larger than 24 inches long by 15 inches wide by 18 inches high. Loose and dry ice are prohibited; reusable ice packs are the alternative. Glass containers are generally prohibited, with limited exceptions such as small baby-food jars. Check the complete current rules for other restricted items.

Leave room for anything you bring home, but avoid packing every just-in-case gadget. The most useful addition may be a second pair of dry socks rather than another accessory. For medical or accessibility-related exceptions, ask Disney directly before travel.
