Get everyone connected while you’re still at home.
Install My Disney Experience, sign in and link your reservation and admission. Check Family & Friends so the people you will plan for appear correctly. Adults should coordinate who manages children’s profiles; creating duplicate profiles can make it harder to find everyone when selecting experiences.
Explore the map, park hours, wait times, dining and your plans before you need them in a queue. Pick a lead planner and a backup adult who knows how to find the day’s reservations. A screenshot of your main plan can be helpful, but does not replace valid admission or live information.
MagicMobile places a digital access pass in a compatible phone wallet. It is a way to use linked entitlements, not a ticket purchase itself. A MagicBand is optional; cards and compatible digital passes offer other access methods. Work out how children’s passes will be managed and keep a charged phone and backup plan.
Choose the extra that solves a real need.
Lightning Lane is a paid option separate from park admission. Multi Pass allows up to three advance selections in one park; additional selections depend on redemption or an elapsed window and availability. Single Pass is for separately priced attractions not included in Multi Pass, with up to two purchases per day. Premier Pass offers one entry to each available included Lightning Lane experience in one park without scheduled arrival windows.
These products do not guarantee every attraction, immediate boarding or unlimited repeat rides. Prices vary, and Disney lists the passes as nonrefundable and nontransferable. Review the current app details before purchasing.
A good starting question is which rides matter most to your family. If those are mainly shows, gentler experiences or activities without Lightning Lane, the purchase may add less value. If you have a small set of high-priority rides and limited days, compare the available options with the rest of your budget. You can still build a good day without buying every pass.
Your booking morning depends on where you stay.
Current purchasing opens at 7 a.m. Eastern on the eligible day. Guests at Disney Resort hotels and other eligible hotels can start seven days before check-in for their stay, up to 14 days. Other date-based ticket holders start three days before the ticket’s first day; other admission holders generally start three days before the park visit. Check Disney’s current hotel and ticket rules before setting your reminder.
Link the correct people and admission beforehand, and have a short priority list ready. Do not wait until that morning to find out that a child’s profile is missing or someone’s ticket is attached to another account. Availability can change while you make choices, so have a second preference rather than treating one exact time as essential.
Keep your eyes on the vacation, not only the screen.
Group plans by location. A seemingly convenient opening can become inconvenient if it sends you across the park just before lunch or a show. Check the time, height requirements and walking distance before accepting a choice for the whole party.
After using a selection, take a moment to check what is available next, then put the phone away. Keep meals, bathroom stops and breaks in the plan even when another attraction looks tempting. If the app or a reservation is not behaving as expected, ask a Cast Member or Guest Experience team for help rather than repeatedly buying or modifying things you do not understand.
- Carry a charged battery bank and the right cable.
- Check current arrival windows and operating status in the app.
- Decide where the family will regroup if adults split up.
